Back in the Groove!

Hi Happy Quilter,

Hope this finds you well. We are gearing up for the Amish Country Quilt Shop Hop on November 4-7, 2009. I can't even believe that October is nearly over, and here comes November, full steam ahead. So much to do, so little time!

The leaves were beautiful last week. This weekend, with all the rain they are falling quickly. Shingles were falling at my house. Today, the roofers we hired started with our new roof. Already I don't like the color. It is a lighter gray than I had hoped. Ugghh. The men (my husband and the contractor) thought I was a little crazy. But a quilter knows her colors. And the shingles are a little more gray blue and the siding is a little more gray brown. Of course I couldn't tell in the low light of the evening when the decision was foisted upon me! I should have gone with a darker shade. Oh well, it's up there for 30 years, so I better get used to it. It isn't like I can rip the seam and pick something else from my stash! I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually.

I have been wanting to restart this blog for months. Tonight I said, let's just jump in and do it. So here we go. I hope to post some pictures. In the meantime, visit our official shop website at www.apieceintime.com. I hope to also post our weekly (well every few weeks) e-newsletter here as well.

Leave comments and let me know what you think. I promise it will be more quilt related than today's post. Thanks for visiting!
Hugs, Chris
